Daniel Louis (born October 20, 1955, Port-au-Prince, Haiti) is a self-taught Haitian artist known for his vibrant, primitive-style jungle paintings. His works feature lush vegetation, colorful animals, and misty atmospheres, often depicting tropical scenes with non-native animals. With minimal formal education, he began painting at 25, learning from galleries, museums, and advice from his brother and a friend. His art has been exhibited in France, California, Miami, and a Jamaican hospital. He lives in Port-au-Prince with his five children and aging parents, painting in a shared workshop.
