The River by Arlene Enns

The River was painted on a grey day (physically and mentally) shortly before Christmas several weeks before the artist’s mother passed away.  (she died Dec 23, 2018 ) — in the artist’s words; “I was playing the Christmas song “ the River “ as I was truly wishing for a river that I could just skate away on / that I could teach my feet to fly.”
